Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Produce Clerk to join our team at Hinesburg Road. As a Produce Clerk, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, maintaining a clean and organized produce department, and ensuring that all products are displayed in a visually appealing manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide fast, friendly, and helpful service to all customers
  • Maintain a neat, clean, and organized workstation
  • Assist with produce merchandising duties, including preparation of produce products for display, stocking and pricing of product, and creating special produce platters to order
  • Ensure that quality and fresh products are displayed, and remove substandard looking product and report to the Produce Manager or first clerk
  • Rotate and examine perishable product to ensure proper quality, code, and condition
  • Provide a high level of customer courtesy and service at all times
  • Work in a manner ensuring that corporate and state sanitation and safety regulations are being maintained in accordance with company policy
Requirements
  • Strong communication skills
  • Basic literacy skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
