Leadership Role in Data Science at Amazon

We are seeking a seasoned Data Scientist to lead our team and drive innovation in machine learning solutions for Amazon's private brands.

About the Role:

This is a leadership position that requires strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to inspire and motivate a team of scientists and engineers.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering high-quality research results and driving projects from inception to production. They will also be responsible for developing long-term strategies, persuading teams to adopt those strategies, and proposing goals and deliverables.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 10+ years minimum of hands-on science application experience
  • PhD in a relevant technical field (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong publication track record
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related languages
  • Experience in building ML systems for online advertising
Compensation and Benefits:

The base salary for this position ranges from $179,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $309,400/year in our highest geographic market. Our total compensation package includes equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
