Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Area Manager to join our team at Cardinal Group Companies. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in maintaining the quality and consistency of our communities across multiple locations.

About the Role

This is a full-time position that requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our communities, including maintaining relationships with residents, vendors, and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain all responsibilities of Community Managers for assigned communities through direct oversight.
  • Mentor and assist with day-to-day activities of loss prevention, risk management, safety or security, maintenance, marketing, leasing, and ongoing facility upkeep at sister communities.
  • Demonstrate a positive, professional, and client-oriented attitude about the company with team members, residents, clients, and the public.
  • Succeed in leading onsite maintenance team members and office team members at main community and assisting with sister communities.
  • Assist with resident relations, including coordinating requests for repairs and maintenance, understanding rent charges, lease issues, and other resident concerns at main community and assisting with those needing escalation before going to a cell team member.

Requirements

  • Two (2) years of experience as a Community Manager in residential property management.
  • Strong working knowledge of leasing, marketing, construction, residential law, and resident relations.
  • Reliable transportation to travel between communities up to 20% of the time.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to analyze a monthly financial statement and prepare detailed budgets and operating forecasts.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to work independently as a project leader and team member.
  • Strong client relations skills and previous supervisory experience required.
