Senior Commercial Architect Position in Western North Carolina

Are you a skilled Project Architect looking for a new challenge in the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina? We are seeking a talented professional to join our team as a Project Architect - Commercial.
In this role, you will work with some guidance from a Senior Designer or Architect, developing elevations, sections, 3D renderings, and architectural details for projects. You will assist in designing innovative prototypes with sustainable products and green architecture sensibility.
Key Responsibilities:
* Coordinate project aspects and estimate scope of work
* Prepare strategic plans for project success
* Supervise contract document preparation and check for discrepancies
* Lead client and project team to ensure project design meets client's budget, schedule, program, and design intent
* Assist in negotiation and development of project agreements
* Ensure timely completion of Project Management Framework tasks and proper documentation
* Lead project coordination and owner/site meetings
* Manage change orders, applications for payment, and contractual modifications
* Work with Operations to determine project staffing needs and recommend personnel
* Direct client invoicing and manage collections
Requirements:
* Capable of supporting multiple Principal's in Charge on multiple projects
* Thorough understanding of accessibility codes, life-safety codes, building construction systems, and industry standards
* Takes direction well and proactively takes action
* Effectively manages multiple deadlines and priorities
* Team player with client, project team, and contractor
* Effective negotiator and communicator
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Newforma; experience with Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp preferred
* Bachelor's degree in Architecture or 5-10 years of related field experience
* Minimum of 5-6 years of experience
* Typical office environment with computer work and sedentary periods; fieldwork may include inclement weather
* Commercial architecture experience required
