About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Student Transportation Specialist to join our team at Brevard Public Schools. As a key member of our transportation department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of students across the district.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a school bus safely and efficiently, adhering to established route schedules and protocols.
  • Ensure the safety of students and other passengers on board, responding promptly to emergencies and non-emergency situations.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, behavioral incidents, and other relevant data.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

  • A valid Florida Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class B license with P and S endorsement.
  • At least five years of licensed driving experience with fewer than five infraction points in the preceding three-year period.
  • The ability to pass a DOT certified physical examination, pre-employment drug screen, and FDLE fingerprint-based background check prior to start date.
Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience as a bus driver or in a related field is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits

As a Student Transportation Specialist with Brevard Public Schools, you can expect a competitive salary range of $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
