Job Overview

As an Assembly Technician at Hubbell, you will play a critical role in the assembly of kits, operating assembly machines such as tape machines, bag sealers, and other hand-powered equipment. Your attention to detail and ability to follow instructions will ensure the quality of the products produced.

A Day In The Life
  • Operate assembly machines, verifying safety equipment and functional checks before starting the job.
  • Work from operation sheets, prints, written work instructions, and/or verbal instructions as necessary.
  • Measure work piece dimensions to determine accuracy of machine operations.
  • Assemble and/or sort work pieces, ensuring quality and efficiency.
  • Report job operations/activities in SAP, maintaining accurate records.
  • Perform other related work as required, contributing to the success of the team.
Requirements

Key Skills and Abilities

Must have the ability to read and comprehend instructions, with strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, with basic math skills.

Stand and reach with hands and arms regularly, with occasional walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, talking, or hearing.

Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally, with a focus on maintaining a safe working environment.

Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus required.
