Compensation

The estimated salary for this position ranges from $19.01 to $26.24 per hour, based on factors such as experience, qualifications, skills, and local minimum wage requirements. In addition to a competitive hourly rate, you may also be eligible for a bonus and/or commission plan, complemented by a total rewards package that includes health care, retirement savings, paid time off/vacation, and employee discounts.

About the Job

We are seeking an EyeCare Advisor to create exceptional value in the lives of our customers by delivering the LensCrafters Experience. This role ensures all patients receive the highest quality Optometric care while meeting store key performance indicators by integrating the Brand Story and executing patient behaviors seamlessly. The successful candidate will link doctor and retail functions together.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Greet customers promptly and answer telephone calls in a friendly and courteous manner within 30 seconds.
  • Explain required paperwork, tests, products, and services to customers.
  • Review prescriptions carefully and identify special needs, consulting with Optician or Managing Doctor as necessary.
  • Show patience and courtesy to indecisive or difficult customers and patients.
Retail Functions:
  • Demonstrate knowledge of appointment book/scheduling procedures and computer operation/procedures.
  • Handle and file patient records efficiently in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
  • Process shipments, place contact lens orders, and submit invoices for payment accurately.
Doctor's Office:
  • Perform pre-examination testing with accuracy and attention to detail, explaining measurements and answering patient questions.
  • Provide clinical support to the Optometrist and maintain contact lens inventory.
Requirements:
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Strong customer service skills (internal and external).
  • Knowledge of current fashion trends.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with cash registers, computers, and calculators.
  • Organization skills.
  • Sales skills.
  • Basic math skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in customer service, retail, and/or optical sales.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
