Nursing Care Specialist for Medical-Surgical Units

About the Role
This nursing opportunity is ideal for individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments and are passionate about delivering individualized care to patients with diverse needs. As a key member of the Medical Surgical team, you will assess, plan, and implement patient care plans, ensuring seamless transitions and continuous quality improvement. Your expertise will be essential in fostering strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities
Your primary responsibilities will include providing direct nursing care to patients in medical-surgical units, encompassing assessment, medication administration, and wound care. You will collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans, monitor patient progress, and respond promptly to changes in condition. Additionally, you will educate patients and their families on post-surgical care instructions, medication management, and recovery expectations, ensuring accurate documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you must possess a current RN license, BLS certification, and at least two years of recent Medical Surgical RN experience. Strong communication and adaptability skills are also essential for this position.
