The Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join their team at the Georgia Regional Hospital at Savannah (GRHS).

Overview

GRHS is a state-funded multi-service facility operated by the DBHDD. The hospital provides quality care to mentally ill adults and individuals living with intellectual and developmental disabilities from its 34-county catchment area in Southeast Georgia.

This is a full-time position, eligible for State Benefits, working 3:00 p.m. - 11:30 p.m., 2nd shift. As a key member of the healthcare team, you will provide exceptional nursing care to patients, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.

Salary & Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of $69,148 per year, plus generous benefits, including health and dental insurance, retirement and savings plan options, and paid holidays, vacation, and sick leave.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess client health problems and needs, develop and implement nursing care plans, and maintain accurate medical records.
  • Administer nursing care to ill, injured, convalescent, or disabled clients, including administering prescribed medications or starting intravenous fluids.
  • Consult and coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate client care plans.
  • Maintain accurate, detailed reports and client records.
  • Modify client treatment plans as indicated by clients' responses and conditions.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited college or university OR Associate's degree in nursing from an accredited college or university AND current Georgia license as a Registered Professional Nurse.
  • Experience in a behavioral health setting is preferred but not required.
