Job Summary

The Designated Coordinator - Skills Development Specialist is a key role in our organization, responsible for overseeing programs, activities, and scheduling under the direction of a supervisor. This position requires a strong ability to develop person-centered support plans, communicate effectively, and work rotating or irregular hours as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, refine, and implement individualized program plans to help individuals achieve their goals.
  • Provide work direction, guidance, training, and feedback to staff to ensure high standards of service delivery.
  • Provide direct care to individuals, including bathing, toileting, hygiene, medication administration, and behavior interventions.
  • Contribute to the safety and security of the site, individuals served, and coworkers.
Requirements
  • 4 years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons 65 years and older.
  • A minimum of 50 hours of education and training related to human services and disabilities.
  • Valid Driver's License and ability to work rotating or irregular hours as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Lead work experience in a direct care setting.
  • Experience writing, modifying, or evaluating program plans.
  • Experience with financial management of home or individual accounts.
