Providence Regional Medical Center Everett seeks an experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Clinical Education and Practice team, you will be responsible for providing expert consultation to all care providers and implementing improvements in healthcare delivery systems.

Job Summary

The Clinical Nurse Specialist is an expert clinician who practices in a specialty area with expertise in teaching, mentoring, consulting, research, management, and systems improvement. This role requires strong leadership skills and the ability to influence outcomes by providing expert consultation to all care providers.

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert consultation to all care providers on clinical practice and systems improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and implement evidence-based practice guidelines and protocols.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes and reduce costs.
  • Mentor and educate nursing staff on best practices and emerging trends in healthcare.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree from a clinical nurse specialist program accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) or the National League for Nursing Accreditation Commission (NLNAC).
  • Ph.D. from a clinical nurse specialist program accredited by the Commission on Collegiate of Nursing Education (CCNE) or the National League for Nursing Accreditation Commission (NLNAC).
  • Currently enrolled in a Master's, DNP, or Ph.D. clinical nurse specialist program accredited by the Commission on Collegiate of Nursing Education (CCNE) or the National League for Nursing Accreditation Commission (NLNAC).
  • Equivalent coursework and experience will be considered.
  • Washington Registered Nurse License.
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
  • 3 years registered nursing experience in area of specialty.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Upon hire: Current certification as a CNS.

  • 2 years clinical leadership responsibility.

Salary Range

$56.74 - $91.34 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
