Pediatric Float Pool Nurse Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Professional Nurse to join our team in the Pediatric Float Pool. As a Clinical Nurse I, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to a supportive and collaborative work environment.
Job SummaryThe ideal candidate will possess strong assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation skills, with a focus on delivering high-quality patient care. You will be responsible for coordinating care with the interprofessional team, educating patients and families, and promoting a safe and healthy work environment.

- Assessment:
- Collect pertinent data relative to the patient's health or situation.
- Integrate knowledge of evidence-based assessment parameters in care area.
- Perform skills of observation, auscultation, and palpation (look, listen, and feel).
- Prioritize objective and subjective assessment data.
- Diagnosis and Planning:
- Analyze assessment data to identify patient problems, formulate expected outcomes, and determine strategies for meeting individualized needs.
- Apply knowledge of disease processes to formulate appropriate nursing diagnoses.
- Document problems, outcomes, and planning of interventions using standardized terms and technology.
- Implementation of the Nursing Plan of Care:
- Implement strategies to address health promotion, prevention of illness/injury, facilitation of healing, alleviation of pain/suffering, and supportive care.
- Perform/delegate interventions according to the Nurse Practice Act and AMC policy/procedure.
- Evaluation:
- Evaluate patient progress toward attainment of goals and outcomes.
- Determine the effectiveness of interventions and strategies based on patient response.
- Education and Leadership:
- Practice ethically.
- Collaborate with consumers of healthcare and other caregivers in the conduct of care.
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- A current RN license in New York State.
- At least 1 year of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse in a pediatric setting.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
