Job Summary

The Moffitt Cancer Center is seeking a highly skilled MRI Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of the MRI department. This individual will be responsible for performing MRI examinations, supervising and training MRI technologists, and ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform MRI examinations on patients in various age groups, including adolescents, adults, and geriatric adults.
  • Supervise and train MRI technologists to ensure they have the necessary knowledge and skills to perform high-quality MRI examinations.
  • Oversee the daily operations of the MRI department, including scheduling and workflow.
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of MRI principles and imaging techniques, as well as regulatory requirements such as TJC, ACR, and HRS.
  • Work collaboratively with the department support staff to implement changes and improve current methods.
  • Communicate effectively with staff, patients, and clinicians to ensure seamless operations.
Requirements
  • Associate degree in Radiology Technology or a related field.
  • Minimum of five years of MRI experience, including one year of relevant leadership experience.
  • ARRT (MR) Advanced MRI certification.
  • BLS - Basic Life Support certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Radiology Technology.
  • MRSO certification.
  • One to two years of previous supervisory experience.
