About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Fire Protection Designer to join our team in the Northeast region. As a key member of our Fire Protection & Life Safety business, you will play a critical role in supporting a wide range of projects involving fire protection system design, evaluation, and construction administration for both public and private sector clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop drawings and specifications for fire suppression systems, including special suppression systems, in AutoCAD and REVIT.
  • Perform computerized hydraulic calculations for fire protection systems.
  • Review drawings for compliance with building and fire codes and contract documents.
  • Review contractor's shop drawings, product data, and calculations.
  • Observe installation of fire protection systems for compliance with contract documents and prepare field reports.
Requirements
  • National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET) certification in Water Based Fire Suppression.
  • 3-8 years of experience in the fire protection industry.
  • Expertise in design technology and processes, particularly with Revit & AutoCAD.
  • Working knowledge of ICC codes and NFPA Standards.
  • Knowledge, interpretation, and application of relevant client, industry standards.
  • Proven ability to build positive relationships across diverse teams and client groups.
  • Robust written and verbal skills, with the ability to communicate complex issues concisely.
  • A passion for design and innovation.
