Regional Director, Institutional Sales Lead

About the Role:
The Global Client Group (GCG) at Dimensional Fund Advisors, L.P. is seeking a highly skilled Regional Director, Institutional Sales to lead our efforts in acquiring long-term client relationships and increasing our reach in the marketplace.
As a key member of the GCG team, you will work closely with institutional investors in an assigned territory, developing strong relationships at all levels of a client's business to understand their investment needs and identify selling opportunities.
You will be responsible for developing, coordinating, and implementing marketing and sales programs for institutional clients and prospects in the United States, working closely with senior Institutional Services team members to fully develop all opportunities in the region.
The successful candidate will be capable of building trust with clients, articulating Dimensional's business processes, investment philosophy, and approach, and providing exceptional client service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement marketing and sales programs for institutional clients and prospects
- Work with senior Institutional Services team members to fully develop all opportunities in the region
- Build and maintain deep relationships with staff at all levels of a client's business
- Provide constructive feedback on strategies and trends to the executive, sales, and investment management teams
- Lead complex technical investment discussions with a sophisticated audience
Requirements:
- A minimum of ten years of investment sales experience, ideally gained from working at an institutional asset manager in a sales and client service capacity
- Experience working with defined contribution, defined benefit, endowment, and foundation clients
- A strong sense of professional and personal integrity and high ethical standards
- Demonstration of initiative, accountability, and a focus on delivering consistent quality work
- Commitment to the philosophy and process underlying Dimensional's investment approach
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly with regards to conveying technical investment approaches and key selling points
- An extensive knowledge of the institutional investment business
- Ability to prioritize and exercise time management
- A strong academic background, with an MBA and/or CFA strongly preferred
- A proven track record and history of success
- Series 7 and 63/66 licensed, with the ability to successfully pass the Series 7 within the first 120 days of employment
