As a dedicated professional, you will play a pivotal role in fostering a collaborative environment between schools, families, and communities to provide comprehensive support services for children and families of Bezos Academy preschools in Washington state. Your expertise will be instrumental in building the skills of staff, children, and families through various initiatives, including meetings, workshops, classroom visits, crisis intervention, and staff training. You will be responsible for implementing strategies to ensure all students reach their full potential at Bezos Academy.

You will work closely with regional leaders to develop an inclusive student support model in a network of tuition-free, Montessori-inspired preschools in under-resourced communities. Your commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion practices will be essential in achieving equitable outcomes for students nationwide.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct services to children with developmental delays or disabilities
  • Conduct social/developmental assessments and classroom observations
  • Support families in understanding their child's disability and equip them with necessary tools
  • Connect families to community resources and health, housing, food, and crisis support
  • Develop and facilitate training modules and group sessions for school staff and families

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in social work, psychology, or a related field
  • Five or more years of relevant experience with two or more years of professional experience working with children under six with developmental delays
  • Deep knowledge of instructional, social, and behavioral needs of children under six with developmental delays or disabilities

Benefits:

  • Full-time, benefits-eligible, salaried position
  • Competitive salary range: $68,000 - $102,000 per year
  • 22 paid days of scheduled breaks, 7 paid days of vacation, 3 paid days of personal time off, 7 paid days of sick time, 10 paid holidays, and additional time off if required by applicable law
