We are seeking a qualified Mathematics Instructor to teach College Algebra at our institution. This is a contract position that requires teaching MAT102, a 3-credit course, and working closely with our math faculty to ensure quality and consistency among all sections and instructors.

About the Job
  • Teach College Algebra courses, consisting of 3 contact hours per week per section, plus office hours, course preparation, and student assessment.
  • Collaborate with current math faculty to maintain high-quality instruction and ensure consistency across all sections.
  • Develop and implement course instruction based on approved syllabi, goals, and objectives.
  • Design, administer, and grade course assignments and exams to assess student learning outcomes.
  • Provide regular feedback, academic alerts, and midterm progress reports to students as necessary.
  • Create an engaging classroom environment that fosters student success and active learning.
  • Maintain regular office hours for one-on-one meetings with students.
  • Adhere to college policies and procedures.
Requirements

To be considered for this opportunity, applicants must possess:

  • A master's degree in mathematics or a closely related field.
  • Professional or teaching experience in mathematics.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • The ability to work under pressure and maintain a high level of professionalism.
  • A sensitivity to the needs of students, faculty, and staff from diverse backgrounds.
Salary and Benefits
