As a Service technician, you will:Work daily with service foremen to diagnose and repair defects in commercial low-slope roof assemblies. Learn to locate and determine root causes of roof leaks. Learn to heat weld TPO and PVC membrane in various positions (base flashing, field repairs, and under/around tight areas). Learn to torch ModBit membrane in various positions (base flashing, field repairs, and under/around tight areas). Learn various roof systems from the deck up, including TPO, PVC, ModBit, and BUR. Continuously expand knowledge of common leak causes due to various conditions and/or failures in roof systems, flashings, and sheet metal components. Maintain a SAFE work environment at all times. Adhere to RoofMaster policies and procedures. Manage your service truck and ensure it is fully stocked with necessary supplies at all times. Provide service recommendations to service superintendents as needed. Train/coach/develop your own skills as well as your apprentices, including providing recognition and corrective actions. Direct your apprentice(s) regarding work to be completed, inspect what you expect. Complete work orders, including photos, thorough description of work completed, list all materials and quantities used, and provide any notes for use for additional service calls at location. Understand project scope of work. Understand product specification requirements. Other duties as assigned. Verify compliance with company policies and procedures.
Candidate should possess:
Valid Texas Driver's license with an insurable record. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred. High School diploma or equivalent required. Available to travel short distances for a week at a time. Strong skills in time management. Willingness to learn new systems (DataForma). Strong knowledge of commercial roofing preferred. Excellent attention to detail. Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Strong organizational and time management skills. Positive and professional attitude and the ability to work under pressure.
