Job Title: Physician I

Rutgers University-Newark is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Physician I to join our Health Services team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care, conduct preventive medicine, and participate in health education and counseling.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive primary care to students, including women's health, mental health care, and age-appropriate preventive health services.
  • Conduct office gynecology and treat acute and chronic conditions.
  • Practice sensitive and holistic care, adhering to accepted clinical guidelines.
  • Participate in health education and counseling, promoting a culture of well-being among students.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Student Health Services and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
Requirements:
  • Current New Jersey physician license (MD or DO) with residency and board certification.
  • Medical License registered in the State of NJ.
  • Board Certified.
  • BLS / ALS Certification within 3 months of appointment or willingness to be certified.
  • NJ DEA and CDS license.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in college health settings.
  • Two (2) years of experience, particularly in women's health and general medical practice.
Equipment Utilized:
  • Computerized Health Records (Medicat).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel spreadsheets, Outlook, and electronic medical records.
  • EKG Machine and ultrasound.
Work Environment:

This position requires a fully on-site work arrangement.
