About the Role
As a Pediatric Anesthesia Specialist at Sunnybrook Dentistry & Braces, you will provide advanced anesthesia care for pediatric patients during in-office dental surgeries. Your role includes collaborating with Pediatric Dentists to ensure safe and effective anesthesia delivery, aiming to create positive dental experiences for children.
Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized anesthesiology services within a dental practice, adapting to different clinical environments alongside a Pediatric Dentist.
- Collaborate with Pediatric Dentists to optimize patient cooperation through skilled anesthetic administration and airway management.
- Focus on patients who require more than local anesthesia, such as children with dental anxiety, pediatric patients, or those with specific physical or cognitive needs.
Qualifications:
- Candidates should have an Educational Background: Completion of an accredited Anesthesiology Residency.
- Licensure and Certifications: Current, valid medical or dental license in good standing.
- Required certifications include PALS, BLS, DEA, etc.
- Professional Experience: Demonstrated capability in anesthesia delivery, including intravenous deep sedation and general anesthesia.
- A collaborative approach is essential, with the ability to work closely with dental teams, including surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
