Healthcare Assistant

We are seeking a Healthcare Assistant to join our team at Reid Health. As a key member of our patient care team, you will provide daily services involving basic care for patients and assist with various unit duties under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN).
This is a PRN position that offers flexibility and variety in your work schedule. With a strong focus on delivering exceptional patient care, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of those we serve.

ResponsibilitiesThe following list highlights some of the key responsibilities of this role:
- Obtaining and recording vital signs and other measurements
- Completing baths, skin care, and personal hygiene activities (ADLs), including backrubs
- Assisting with feeding activities and recording patient intake and output
- Supporting patient admissions/transfers/discharges and setting up rooms as needed
- Promptly responding to patient care needs, requests, and call lights
- Performing various tasks such as applying ice packs, restraints (after RN initiation), and binders, as well as obtaining specimen collections and performing post-mortem care
- Sharing responsibility for preparation, proper use, and care of equipment and supplies, as well as maintaining the cleanliness and neatness of the unit
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following requirements:
- Completion of clinical lab check-offs from an accredited RN program
- A letter from an accredited RN program verifying good standing

Estimated Salary: $35,000 - $50,000 per year, depending on experience.
