LHC Group is seeking a highly skilled Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team in Gallipolis, Ohio. As an Occupational Therapy Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to patients in their homes, helping them to restore their physical abilities and improve their overall quality of life.

About the Role

As an Occupational Therapy Assistant with LHC Group, you will be responsible for providing evidence-based treatment to patients in their homes, working closely with the supervising Occupational Therapist to develop and implement individualized plans of care. You will instruct and aid patients in various therapy activities, observing and recording their progress, and reporting to the supervising OT, nurse supervisor, and/or physician.

Responsibilities
  • Follow the established plan of care to instruct and aid patients in evidence-based treatment within the scope of the occupational therapy assistant.
  • Observe, record, and report to the supervising OT, nurse supervisor, and/or physician the patient's response to treatment and changes in the patient's condition.
  • Coordinate care with other members of the healthcare team as appropriate.
  • Instruct patient, family, caregiver, and other members of the health care team in therapy areas within the scope of the occupational therapy assistant.
Requirements
  • Current OTA licensure in the state of Ohio.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Current driver's license and vehicle insurance, and access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation.
