Critical Care Nurse Specialist

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per yearThis role is a full-time position with variable shifts, including rotating weekends.
About the JobAs a Registered Nurse at Samaritan Healthcare, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care. You will work closely with patients, physicians, and other clinicians to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Patient Assessment and Care Planning: Perform comprehensive assessments of patients' physiologic, psychosocial, and cognitive status.
- Care Implementation: Implement care in a knowledgeable, skillful, consistent, and continuous manner by utilizing pre-determined procedures, policies, and care plans.
- Patient Education: Identify patient/significant other learning needs, readiness for learning, and implement patient teaching as defined by policy and care plans.
- Documentation: Document patient information in their chart, via electronic medical records and/or paper processes, per policy and in accordance with all regulatory requirements.
- Crisis Management: Demonstrate awareness of and sensitivity to patient/significant other and family rights, as identified by Samaritan Healthcare, regardless of race, age, religion, color, creed, sex, national origin, or any other classification protected by law.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A degree from an accredited school of nursing.
- Current Washington State RN Licensure.
- Experience as an acute care registered nurse preferred. Minimum one year of RN experience preferred for specialty nursing departments.
- The ability to perform the primary functions of a Registered Nurse in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care of all assigned patients.
- HCP (Healthcare Provider) Level of BLS (Basic Life Support) within 30 days of hire – AHA or equivalent.
