Job Summary

Ascension St. Vincent is seeking an Advanced Provider NP PA CNS Women's Service Line Specialist to join our team. This is a full-time position working Monday-Friday, with no weekends, holidays, or call. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in nursing and be certified as a Clinical Nurse Specialist. Responsibilities include providing advanced care, consultation, research, management, and education in a specific clinical area, as well as serving as an expert consultant for staff in areas of program development, clinical practice, and professional development. The successful candidate will be a team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide advanced care, consultation, research, management, and education in a specific clinical area.
  • Serve as an expert consultant for staff in areas of program development, clinical practice, and professional development.
  • Manage clinical research projects in support of evidence-based practice and disseminate findings.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate educational plans/programs and utilize methods, measurements, and tools to evaluate achievement of learning goals.
  • May assess the learning needs of patients and families and develop and/or implement teaching programs.


Requirements
  • Licensure/Certification/Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 month of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • One or more of the following required: Clinical Nurse Specialist credentialed from the American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN) obtained within 12 months of hire date or job transfer date, Clinical Nurse Specialist credentialed from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) obtained within 12 months of hire date or job transfer date, Registered Nurse credentialed from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date, Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Education: Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required and Master's degree required.
