Role Overview:
Middlesex Human Service Agency (MHSA) is a leading provider of essential services for vulnerable populations.
We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Residential Support Staff member to join our team at Hurley House.
The Role:
You will be integral in advancing our mission to deliver high-quality, person-centered services. Your primary responsibilities will include ensuring the safety and well-being of residents, maintaining a clean and safe environment, and upholding the integrity and confidentiality of our programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure accurate log entries and maintain documentation in a timely manner.
- Perform regular hourly rounds inside and outside the program to ensure resident safety.
- Conduct bedroom checks to guarantee resident safety and well-being.
- Complete all required documentation accurately and efficiently (e.g., incident reports).
- Attend staff meetings as scheduled.
- Guarantee client/resident safety and cleanliness of the facility at all times.
- Clean and clear sidewalks, porches, stairs, and doorways to allow proper access and egress.
- Consistently adhere to Program policies and protocols in all Program functions.
- Facilitate and/or supervise urine drug-screening collection processes and medication administration in accordance with Program-specific policies and BSAS protocols.
- Protect the confidentiality and integrity of clients and the Program at all times.
- Be present and punctual for all assigned shifts.
- Conduct fire drills using the evacuation plan.
- Abide by MHSA policies regarding boundaries, confidentiality, and ethical standards at all times.
- Attend in-service and external training as directed by the Program Director.
- Other duties as assigned by the Program Director or Assistant Program Director to ensure proper program functioning.
Requirements:
- A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Demonstrated reliable attendance and punctual reporting for work is essential.
- Experience working with diverse populations is preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal skills are necessary.
- Competent written and oral communication skills are required.
- Ability to work as part of a team is crucial.
- CPR/AED and First Aid Certification (MHSA provides training opportunities).
- A valid ID is required.
- Reliable personal transportation for work activities is necessary.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred.
Compensation:
$19.00 per hour
