Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Support Specialist to join our team at Alliance Community Hospital. In this role, you will provide clinical support to physicians, patients, and families, ensuring timely communication and seamless care delivery.

About the Job

This position involves working closely with healthcare professionals to provide patient education, manage medical records, and coordinate testing and procedures. You will also be responsible for scheduling appointments, handling phone calls, and maintaining accurate documentation in our electronic health record system.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional patient care by answering questions, addressing concerns, and offering guidance on medication management and test preparation
  • Ensure timely completion of medical records, including vital signs, medication lists, and test results
  • Schedule appointments, hospital procedures, and out-patient tests, including precertification and authorization
  • Accurately complete medical forms and route billing information to relevant staff members
  • Assist with setting up and performing office and hospital procedures as directed by healthcare professionals
  • Copy and release medical records according to office procedures
  • Document patient interactions accurately and inform physicians of any abnormal lab results or concerns
Working Conditions:

This role requires excellent organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a dynamic team. You will work 8 hours a day, Monday through Friday, with occasional paid overtime before or after normal working hours. Frequent interruptions may occur during performance of duties.
