Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Medical Scribe to join our team at Emergency Physicians Professional Association. As a Medical Scribe, you will work closely with our emergency physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners to document patient encounters in real-time. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the healthcare industry and develop valuable skills in clinical documentation and communication.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accurately and efficiently document patient encounters, including medical history, physical exams, diagnostic findings, lab and test results, consultations, treatment courses, diagnoses, and discharge instructions.
  • Interact professionally and respectfully with patients, families, and healthcare staff, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
  • Work collaboratively with our team to ensure seamless patient care and efficient workflow.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance clinical knowledge and skills.
Requirements
  • Currently enrolled in a 4-year undergraduate program with a focus on pre-medical or science coursework, or have completed an undergraduate degree with professional school science prerequisites.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in computer skills, including typing at 60 wpm or higher, and ability to learn and adapt to new software and systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to patient-centered care.
