Job Overview

Bristol Infrastructure Designs Services, LLC is seeking a skilled Construction Scheduler to support the Navy Mission at the Portsmouth Navy Shipyard in Kittery, ME. This role involves providing technical guidance and assistance to engineers/architects exercising construction oversight and design management of capital improvements projects.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this position is $85,000-$110,000, depending on experience. Responsibilities
  • Manage multiple priorities and develop technical recommendations/solutions regarding scheduling issues and time impacts on complex problems encountered during construction contract administration.
  • Routinely communicate and coordinate with Navy personnel within the Facilities Engineering Command (FEC) and field offices.
  • Review project scopes and propose reasonable construction durations for inclusion in RFPs or solicitations.
  • Participate in Technical Evaluation Teams (TET) to review proposed contractor schedules and provide recommendations.
  • Assist field offices in determining if contractors are on schedule and review baseline schedules and monthly updates for validity and conformance to contract requirements.
  • Validate impacts to approved construction schedules and assist in developing the Government's position regarding delays and/or liability.
  • Analyze how contractors can recover from current delays to meet contract completion dates.
  • Develop and maintain scheduling training for field offices and personnel, covering basic understanding of network analysis schedules, critical path method, time impact analysis, and software usage.
  • Provide guidance and training to design staff in the proper editing and use of scheduling guide specifications for incorporation into contracts.
  • Participate in the NAVFAC-sponsored Scheduling Working Group to address lessons learned, proposed software changes/upgrades, and training requirements, and support development of schedule software templates with NAVFAC required settings.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 7 years of construction scheduling experience utilizing Primavera P6.
  • Experience in preparing or analyzing Time-Impact-Analysis as it relates to time extension requests or evaluating contractor baseline schedules and monthly updates.
  • Experience performing integrated change control on large, complex projects.
  • Registration as a Planning and Scheduling Professional (PSP) is desirable, and registration as a Certified Change Management Professional (CCMP) or similar certification is preferred.
