Job SummaryThe Patient Services Representative II provides patient-families with a positive experience at CHLA by performing clerical tasks primarily associated with answering incoming calls, registration, and patient check-in/out procedures, collection of patient co-pay or deductibles, scheduling and verifying patient appointments.
Key Responsibilities- Completes financial clearance and authorization duties
- Serves as the administrative support for assigned providers
- Works closely with assigned providers to ensure follow-up care is completed
- Assists with creation and review of divisional performance reports and metrics
- One year experience in medical front office setting, 3+ years in medical office setting preferred
- Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred
- Experience scheduling appointments preferred
- Experience obtaining authorizations preferred
- Excellent telephone manner and ability to deal effectively with the public
- Demonstrates strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
High school diploma or GED required
Pay Scale Information$38,272.00-$65,062.00
Final determination of a successful candidate's starting pay will vary based on a number of factors, including, but not limited to education and experience within the job or the industry.
