Job Summary

The Patient Services Representative II provides patient-families with a positive experience at CHLA by performing clerical tasks primarily associated with answering incoming calls, registration, and patient check-in/out procedures, collection of patient co-pay or deductibles, scheduling and verifying patient appointments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Completes financial clearance and authorization duties
  • Serves as the administrative support for assigned providers
  • Works closely with assigned providers to ensure follow-up care is completed
  • Assists with creation and review of divisional performance reports and metrics
Requirements
  • One year experience in medical front office setting, 3+ years in medical office setting preferred
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred
  • Experience scheduling appointments preferred
  • Experience obtaining authorizations preferred
  • Excellent telephone manner and ability to deal effectively with the public
  • Demonstrates strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Education/Licensure/Certifications

High school diploma or GED required

Pay Scale Information

$38,272.00-$65,062.00

Final determination of a successful candidate's starting pay will vary based on a number of factors, including, but not limited to education and experience within the job or the industry.
