Cypress HCM is seeking a highly skilled Digital Signal Processing Engineer to join our team in Boston, MA.

We are looking for an experienced engineer with a strong background in signal processing and real-time implementation on embedded platforms. If you have a passion for designing and developing advanced DSP algorithms, especially for radar signal processing and background subtraction, we want to hear from you

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop high-performance DSP algorithms for embedded hardware using high-level and assembly languages.
  • Analyze and interpret signal data to enhance detection, tracking, and classification capabilities.
  • Collaborate with hardware engineers to fine-tune algorithms for specific hardware architectures and support system integration.
  • Conduct simulations and performance assessments to validate algorithm effectiveness and pinpoint areas of improvement.
  • Create high-quality data visualizations that effectively showcase results and advancements.
  • Execute system-level integration and testing of signal processing components.
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration by clearly conveying technical concepts and progress to both team and other departments.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of relevant experience in Data Science.
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in mathematics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Deep knowledge of signal processing techniques such as filtering modulation, demodulation, spectral analysis, and Fourier transforming.
  • Experience with radar tracking methods like alpha-beta filters, Kalman filters, or multi-hypothesis trackers.
  • Proficiency in implementing signal processing algorithms using Python, MATLAB, or C/C++.
  • Data Science tools experience like NumPy/Sckit-learn and cloud services such as GCP.
  • Experience with real-time signal processing on DSP platforms or embedded systems, including DSP processors, FPGAs, and RF.
  • Familiarity and practice with RF engineering principles.
  • Radar Signal processing expertise as well as object detection including algorithms like CFAR and SVD.
  • Experience in designing and optimizing advanced DSP algorithms, especially for radar signal processing and background subtraction.

Compensation: $185-$250K + Bonus/Stock potential
