About the Role

As a Senior Engineering Test Specialist at Corestaff Services, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our products. This position requires a highly skilled and experienced individual who can lead design validation and verification testing, provide technical guidance, and conduct root cause failure analysis.

Responsibilities
  • Lead design validation and verification testing for new and existing products or processes to internal and external industry standards.
  • Complete up to 100 Work Requests with written test reports annually, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills and effective communication abilities.
  • Provide technical guidance to engineers and laboratory technicians to help drive product development efforts forward.
  • Generate and distribute reports on quality investigations of products in the lab and field, showcasing attention to detail and analytical thinking.
  • Conduct thorough root cause failure analysis on returned products from the field, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Participate in witness testing of products involved in claims, providing objective expertise.
  • Collaborate with the Innovation team to develop and test new technologies or products, pushing the boundaries of innovation.
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment, adhering to strict audit compliance standards.
Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Technology or a related field, coupled with 4+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong emphasis on outstanding problem-solving skills, effective communication, and collaboration.
  • Previous experience setting up performance tests using laboratory equipment and instrumentation is preferred.
  • Familiarity with testing equipment, including pressure gauges, flow meters, load cells, and pressure transducers, would be beneficial.
  • A solid understanding of ISO 17025 quality documents and relevant industry standards such as CSA, ASSE, ASME, ASTM, and ISO.
  • Digital literacy in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, and some Access) and a willingness to learn new applications are essential.
