Job Summary

The Optician Specialist will be responsible for assisting customers in finding the perfect eyeglasses and contact lenses to match their unique needs and preferences. This role requires a high level of quality and care in providing exceptional customer service and fostering positive relationships with team members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Determine the reason for the patient's visit and identify lifestyle needs to deliver personalized recommendations for eyewear.
  • Assist customers in selecting frames and coordinate frames with optical measurements and prescription.
  • Recommend specific lenses, lens coatings, and frames to suit customer needs, occupations, habits, and facial features.
  • Take measurements, assist patients with adjustments and/or troubleshooting, and dispense eyewear.
  • Ensure correct pricing and realistic delivery time quotes to patients.
  • Provide enthusiastic and concise communication to meet and exceed patient expectations.

Requirements

  • One to two years of experience in a related field.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office package.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective verbal communication skills to prioritize multiple tasks and be available for incoming calls and inquiries.
  • Ability to use appropriate discretion and judgment in applying customer/call handling guidelines.

Working Conditions

The working environment is generally favorable with adequate lighting and temperature. There are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc.
