Empower Patient Relationships with Exceptional Service

We are seeking a highly motivated and empathetic Patient Service Advocate to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in building strong relationships with patients, ensuring timely payment, and delivering exceptional service.

About the Role
  • Follow-Up and Payment Management: Proactively follow up on outstanding balances, communicating effectively with patients to resolve account details and ensure timely payment.
  • External Collection Actions: Manage accounts for external collection actions as a last resort, after exhausting all internal collection efforts.
  • Payment Processing: Process payments over the phone and set up payment plans as needed to support timely account resolution.
  • Credit Research and Refund Processing: Research and prepare patient credits, coordinating with the accounting team to process approved refunds accurately and efficiently.
  • Patient Information Management: Update and maintain accurate demographic information to ensure clear and accurate patient statements.
  • Call Volume Management: Efficiently manage a high call volume, handling approximately 300 calls per week professionally and effectively.
What We're Looking For
  • Experience: 1-2 years in self-pay, billing customer service, or collections roles, with proven skills in account management.
  • EMR Knowledge: Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMRs), with NextGen experience being a plus.
  • Customer Service: Strong customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and empathetically with patients.
  • EOB Knowledge: Solid understanding of Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) to accurately interpret and explain account information.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of $19-$22 per hour, based on experience. Our comprehensive benefits package includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
