We are seeking an exceptional researcher and educator to join our Nuclear Engineering department at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and accomplished individual to fill a tenure-track faculty position in Nuclear Engineering. The successful candidate will have a strong research background in nuclear engineering applications, excellent teaching skills, and a commitment to mentoring graduate students.

  • Teaching: Develop and teach undergraduate and graduate courses in nuclear engineering, including introductory courses, advanced lectures, and laboratory sessions.
  • Research: Establish a world-class research program in nuclear engineering applications, with a focus on integrated nuclear science experiments and the understanding of the integrated behavior of nuclear technology components and systems.
  • Mentoring: Supervise graduate students and provide guidance and mentorship to ensure their success in research and academic pursuits.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be considered for this position, applicants must have:

  • A Ph.D. in Nuclear Engineering, Materials Science, Engineering Physics, Physics, or a closely related field.
  • A strong research background in nuclear engineering applications, with a focus on integrated nuclear science experiments.
  • Excellent teaching and communication skills, with the ability to develop and deliver high-quality educational content.
  • A commitment to mentoring graduate students and providing guidance and support to ensure their success.
