About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Youth Development Specialist to join our team at RCIL. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals with disabilities.

As a Youth Development Specialist, you will serve as a vital link between our organization and the community, working closely with youth who require support services due to behavioral issues, lack of community-based support, or other challenges.

Your primary responsibility will be to conduct comprehensive risk assessments, develop tailored Support Service Plans, and maintain regular communication with participants and their family members to monitor progress.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Risk Assessment and Planning
    • Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential crises and develop strategies for mitigation.
    • Create individualized Support Service Plans that address identified needs and promote independence.
  • Communication and Case Management
    • Maintain regular contact with participants and their family members through visits, phone calls, and email (note: we do not include emails).
    • Monitor progress and provide ongoing support to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Documentation and Reporting
    • Accurately maintain and update case files to track participant progress and service delivery.
    • Provide timely and accurate reports to stakeholders as required.
Requirements:
  • Experience and Education
    • A minimum of an Associate's degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
    • Demonstrated experience working with youth and individuals with disabilities is essential.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Strong advocacy, networking, and organizational skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new software applications quickly.
    • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $37,856 per annum, commensurate with experience. Additionally, you will enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including 16 annual vacation days, 12 annual sick days, and 13 paid holidays, as well as participation in our 401(k) plan with employer matching.
