The Davis Companies is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Laboratory Research Specialist to join our team.

We are looking for an individual with expertise in Microtomy or Cryosectioning techniques, who can work independently as well as collaboratively within a dynamic and fast-paced laboratory environment.

In this role, you will be responsible for executing sample handling and analysis with strict adherence to laboratory methods and SOPs. You will also be expected to communicate clearly across multiple parties, problem solve complex issues, and plan and develop new procedures or policies with initiative to complete all assignments.

Responsibilities:

  • Utilize advanced knowledge of Microtomy or Cryosectioning techniques to prepare high-quality samples for analysis.
  • Develop and implement efficient laboratory protocols to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of experiments, results, and analytical data.
  • Collaborate with other laboratory personnel to achieve shared goals and objectives.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in histology and laboratory techniques.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline (e.g., biology, chemistry, biochemistry).
  • At least 1+ year of experience in a laboratory setting, preferably with expertise in Microtomy or Cryosectioning.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in computer productivity software (e.g., Word, Excel, Freezerworks).

Estimated Salary Range:$65,000 - $85,000 per annum, depending on experience.
