Unlock the Power of the Linux Kernel

We are seeking an experienced Linux Kernel Virtualization Engineer to join our team at Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. In this role, you will be responsible for enabling various AMD x86-64 architecture features in Linux and designing core CPU and SOC features for the Linux kernel and related open source projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and implementation of SEV-SNP live migration for Linux
  • Identify bottlenecks and optimizations to advantage EPYC CPUs
  • Drive features and functionality to our partner technical teams
  • Review code, build unit tests, and write detailed documentation

Requirements:

  • Advanced programming skills in C for operating system kernel & systems development
  • Experience with the GNU toolchains
  • Deep understanding of operating systems concepts, security, data structures, x86-64 architecture, and virtualization
  • Experience with low-level debug tools as well as emulators and simulators

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience running, analyzing, and tuning system performance benchmarks
  • Experience managing development projects and coordinating collaborative open source development
  • Experience with Rust and the Rust toolchain
