About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic Specialist to join our team at Loves Travel Stops and Country Stores.

Job Summary

The Diesel Mechanic Specialist will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing light mechanical issues, providing preventative maintenance services, and assisting customers with roadside services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and repair wheel-end assemblies, electrical systems, suspensions, A/C, or engine components
  • Provide preventative maintenance services to ensure vehicles are in good working condition
  • Assist customers with roadside services, including fuel delivery and other assistance as needed
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 1 year of experience in diesel mechanics or a related field
  • Ability to work in close quarters and lift 75+ pounds
  • Ability to work a rotating schedule, including days, nights, and weekends
  • A valid driver's license
  • The ability to obtain a medical card through the Department of Transportation (paid by Loves)
