We are seeking a skilled Critical Care Specialist to join our team in Washington, D.C. as a travel nurse RN in the NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care unit.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will provide high-quality patient care, work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams, and maintain a safe and respectful environment for patients, families, and staff.

Salary: $140-$160 per hour (based on 36 hours/week and 13 weeks assignment)

About the Role

This is a travel nursing job opportunity that requires a specialized skillset in neonatal intensive care. As a Critical Care Specialist, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing individualized patient care plans, including administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and performing various medical procedures.

You will work closely with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and therapists, to ensure seamless patient care. Your expertise and experience will be invaluable in providing compassionate and evidence-based care to critically ill newborns and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and manage complex patient needs, including respiratory, cardiac, and neurological conditions
  • Develop and implement individualized patient care plans, taking into account medical histories, current health status, and treatment goals
  • Administer medications, perform medical procedures, and conduct various diagnostic tests as needed
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and promote continuity of service
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient interactions, interventions, and outcomes
