Keene Family YMCA, a 501(c)3 charitable organization, is seeking a skilled Lead Childcare Teacher to join our team. As a Lead Childcare Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing environment that promotes youth development and social responsibility.

Salary: $16.80-$20.16 Hourly Wage

Job Description

This role involves implementing program curriculum, designing daily lesson/activity plans, supervising children and classroom activities, making ongoing observations and evaluations of each child, and maintaining required program records.

  • Build personal and meaningful relationships with members, participants, volunteers, and guests while exemplifying the Y's commitment to DEI and the four-character values of Caring, Honesty, Respect & Responsibility.
  • Maintain consistency and stability in the classroom for the children in your care.
  • Implement age-appropriate/developmentally appropriate program activities.
  • Supervise children, classroom and all activities.
Required Skills and Qualifications

We are looking for a candidate who meets the following qualifications:

  1. Able to perform duties with professionalism, enthusiasm, kindness, empathy, care, honesty, and respect.
  2. Able to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.
  3. Meets educational and experience qualifications established by state law; 18 ECE Credits.
  4. At least 21 years of age.
  5. CPR, First Aid, AED certifications and Child Abuse prevention training within 30 days of hire date.
