Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Family Support Specialist to join our team at Family & Children's Services. As a Family Support Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing targeted support services to families and children in need.

Your primary responsibility will be to work with children and families in their homes and communities, incorporating the entire family in the Wraparound and cultural heritage and utilization of the best practices model as communicated by the State of Oklahoma.

You will maintain close communication with the Project Director, and other clinical and administrative staff to ensure the highest quality of services is delivered to the juvenile consumer and their family.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide targeted support services to families and children in need

Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • At least 21 years of age
  • Have lived experience as a primary caregiver of a child or youth who has received services for one of the following: serious emotional disturbance; or substance use disorder, or co-occurring substance use and mental health; or a caregiver with a child welfare/CPS involvement
  • Specialized training and/or certification in mental health services or related field as required in order to meet requirements for billable services and/or adjunctive services
  • Ability to work well under pressure meeting deadlines with efficiency and consistency while maintaining a balance between good physical and mental health and the job requirements
Working Conditions

This job is classified as a "safety-sensitive" position as defined by the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana and Patient Protection Act. Possession of a medical marijuana license will not exclude any applicant; however, all employees are subject to the Family & Children's Services Drug Free Workplace Policy.
