Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Equipment Maintenance Technician - Field Operations to join our team at MacAllister Machinery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and repair equipment in the field, ensuring safe and efficient operations.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, communicating effectively with clients to understand their needs and deadlines.
  • Maintain company equipment and tools, adhering to strict safety protocols and good housekeeping practices.
  • Document service reports accurately and efficiently, tracking parts charged and returned.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to improve work area metrics and contribute to a 6 Sigma work environment.
Requirements:
  • A high school education or equivalent, supplemented by vocational training in diesel equipment repair.
  • 3 to 5 years of mechanical experience, preferably with Caterpillar equipment, and a strong understanding of hydraulics, power train, and electrical systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify problems, solicit opinions, and offer valid solutions.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to project professionalism and respond to customer requests with a sense of urgency.
