Job Description

Quality Control in a GMP Environment: As a Quality Control Scientist at AbbVie, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity and accuracy of our quality control processes. You will independently perform routine and non-routine testing within a Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) environment, covering various areas such as raw materials, in-process products, final bulk products, stability, and validation.

Analytical Expertise: Your expertise in analyzing test data, evaluating results, and drawing insightful conclusions will be invaluable. You will analyze experimental data for conformance with product/material specifications and interpret complex laboratory techniques.

Problem-Solving and Autonomy: We value innovation and problem-solving skills. As a Quality Control Scientist, you will have the opportunity to showcase your ability to recognize and resolve complex technical problems. You will also have the freedom to develop and optimize testing methods, demonstrating your autonomy and expertise.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform more complex test methods as written to support product/material release with minimal error.
  • Interpret experimental data for conformance with product/material specifications.
  • Understand laboratory techniques and principles performed.
  • Implement and maintain Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) with respect to laboratory records, procedures, and systems.
  • Develop and maintain trend reports, backlog report, and document error reports which support departmental performance.
  • Write/revise procedures as necessary and provide support for the department.
  • Author all types of Investigations and deviations effectively.
Required Skills and Qualifications

Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Medical Technology, Biology or equivalent science degree is required. 5-8 years of related work experience is also required.

Preferred Skills: Experience working with HPLC is required. Experience working with Empower is preferred.
