Family Counselor

Job Summary:
The City of Hayward, CA is seeking a highly skilled Family Counselor to join our team at the Youth and Family Services Bureau. As a Family Counselor, you will provide crisis intervention, counseling, and referral services to youth, families, and individuals. This is a unique opportunity to work with a dedicated team of professionals who are passionate about helping families succeed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide crisis intervention services to youth, families, and individuals
- Offer counseling and case management services to children, youth, and families
- Provide on-site, school-based services to students and their families
- Work with law enforcement and probation departments to provide services to youth involved in the juvenile justice system
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Counseling, Clinical Psychology, Clinical Social Work, or a closely related field
- Valid license in Marriage and Family Therapy (L.M.F.T.), Licensed Clinical Social Work (L.C.S.W.), Licensed Professional Counselor (L.P.C), or Licensed Clinical Psychologist
- At least one year of experience providing counseling or psychotherapy to youth, families, groups, and individuals
- Valid Class C California Driver License
