Job Summary

The Xfinity WiFi Deployment team is responsible for the deployment of our wireless network nationwide, from site ID through installation. As a Director, you will lead the design and deployment of wireless assets across cellular and WiFi technologies, including managing business partners, coordinating with utilities, collaborating with legal and government affairs, and guiding a team of engineers through installation and testing.

About the Role

This team and role are based in our downtown Philadelphia office. We are seeking a Director with:

  • Strong communication skills across all levels, with the ability to present to senior leadership and communicate with teams on the ground, vendors, and partners.
  • Experience managing a process through stages.
  • An understanding of the technology and concepts related to the network.
  • Experience with deployment, with a preference for wireless network experience.
  • Demonstrated skill collaborating with multiple teams, vendors, and business partners.
Key Responsibilities

As a Director, you will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing the development and processes for wireless deployments and applications that best support the Company's technology and engineering roadmap.
  • Creating the prioritization of deployment across markets and regions.
  • Managing the deployment processes for wireless builds with regional business partners.
  • Executing budgetary reconciliations with regional business partners.
  • Managing a team of deployment professionals to execute the plan of record.
  • Providing subject matter expertise on internal systems and regional processes for coax construction.
  • Driving efficiencies in the deployment process with regional business partners and internal systems.
  • Developing and managing department and project budgets.
  • Recruiting, building, and nurturing high-performance teams.
  • Providing leadership and direction to Technical Research and Development staff by setting goals, objectives, performance criteria, and departmental standards.
  • Forecasting project estimates, resource needs, timelines, and overseeing schedules of product releases and project time tables.
  • Scheduling and moderating periodic meetings with staff to review recent developments and plan/prioritize future activities.
  • Presenting concepts and technical information in common terms to end users.
  • Exercising independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
  • Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance, with the ability to work nights and weekends, variable schedules, and overtime as necessary.
