Job Summary:

As a Cardiac Sonographer at Penn State Health, you will be responsible for performing cardiac ultrasound studies under the supervision of a sonographer from a more senior category or a physician. This role requires a high level of technical skill and attention to detail, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities:

* Perform cardiac ultrasound studies using various modalities, including echocardiography and Doppler ultrasound
* Prepare patients for exams, including explaining procedures and positioning patients
* Operate ultrasound equipment, including adjusting settings and calibrating devices
* Analyze images and data to identify potential issues or abnormalities
* Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop treatment plans

Requirements:

* High School Diploma or equivalent
* ARDMS or CCI registration or eligibility
* BLS certification within 6 months of hire
