About the Opportunity

UCHealth, a leading health care organization in the region, is seeking a Senior Medical Director of Quality and Safety to lead its quality and safety program for the Southern region. The ideal candidate will be a highly skilled and experienced medical professional with a strong track record of improving patient outcomes and reducing errors.

About the Role

The Senior Medical Director of Quality and Safety will provide strategic leadership and vision for the quality and safety program, working closely with hospital leaders and clinical staff to identify areas for improvement and implement evidence-based solutions. This includes developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure high-quality patient care, as well as conducting regular audits and assessments to identify potential risks and issues.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement quality and safety strategies to improve patient outcomes and reduce errors
  • Lead the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure high-quality patient care
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify potential risks and issues
  • Collaborate with hospital leaders and clinical staff to identify areas for improvement and implement evidence-based solutions
  • Provide education and training to clinical staff on quality and safety best practices
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards

Salary Information

The salary range for this position is $250,000 - $350,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

Requirements

  • Board certification in a clinical specialty area
  • Unrestricted Colorado Board of Medical Examiners physician license
  • 5+ years of experience in a leadership role, preferably in quality and safety
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
