Estimated Salary: $65,000 - $80,000 per year
Your Role:
You will play a key part in sourcing industrial products with strong knowledge of mechanical, industrial, and manufacturing parts/products. This involves running replenishment routines, planning and ordering stocked items through our proprietary inventory management system, and driving spend through our tier one vendor base using our guidance. You will also be responsible for managing stocked items to targeted levels, monitoring accuracy, and recommending reorder point modifications.
Responsibilities:
- Source industrial products with knowledge of mechanical, industrial, and manufacturing parts/products.
- Run replenishment routines, plan and order stocked items through our proprietary inventory management system.
- Drive spend through DXP's tier one vendor base using our guidance.
- Manage stocked items to targeted levels, monitor accuracy, and recommend reorder point modifications.
- Inventory and warehouse management.
- Source non-stock requirements and meet delivery dates.
- Assist in supplier issue resolution and billing discrepancies.
- Monitor quality and delivery performance of suppliers.
- Complete and monitor reports, including inventory, procurement, and supplier performance metrics.
- Respond to customer concerns to ensure parts availability.
- Expedite orders to meet delivery dates.
Qualifications:
- 2 years purchasing experience in manufacturing or industrial distribution.
- Knowledge of standard purchasing practices and procedures.
- Knowledge of industrial part nomenclatures.
- Use of supplier catalogs and online researching.
- Purchase Order management and EDI transmittal.
- Ability to present information and respond to questions.
- Proficiency with SAP and Microsoft Office Suite.
