Freight Broker Relationship Manager

A dynamic Freight Broker Relationship Manager is needed to facilitate seamless communication between customers and freight carriers at Apex Freight. This role requires a service-oriented individual who can effectively negotiate contracts with carriers, optimize profits, and ensure customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities- Lead Generation: Develop a sales pipeline by generating leads, identifying new prospects, and building relationships.
- Carrier Selection: Research and select reputable carriers for freight services, ensuring reliability and safety.
- Shipping Quotes: Provide accurate shipping quotes to customers, taking into account various factors such as route optimization and carrier availability.
- Loading Orders: Book orders with carriers, coordinating the movement of goods from pickup to delivery.
- Load Preparation: Assist in preparing carriers for loads, ensuring timely departures and arrivals.
- Load Tracking: Monitor the status of loads in transit, providing updates to customers on delays or issues.
- Logistics Coordination: Collaborate with shippers, carriers, and dispatchers to manage scheduled collections and drop-offs, minimizing downtime.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of relevant activities, including shipments, payments, and customer interactions.
- Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required; degree in logistics, transportation, or business preferred.
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the transportation industry.
- Skillset: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites, excellent problem-solving abilities, effective communication skills (verbal and written), outstanding people skills, and negotiation skills.
- Salary Range: $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience and performance.
