We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced trial attorney to join our team at State Farm. As a trial attorney, you will be responsible for handling a high-volume caseload from discovery stage through trial. You will work closely with our team to develop and implement effective litigation strategies, and will be expected to demonstrate exceptional knowledge of civil procedure, evidence, and trial procedures.

The ideal candidate will possess outstanding research abilities, written and oral advocacy skills, and will be well organized, detail oriented, and able to independently manage a busy time-sensitive caseload. You will be based in Jericho, NY, and will work in a congenial, team-oriented, and professional environment with skilled support staff.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Handling a high-volume caseload from discovery stage through trial
  • Developing and implementing effective litigation strategies
  • Working closely with our team to achieve case goals
  • Managing a busy time-sensitive caseload

Qualifications include:

  • Law degree from ABA accredited law school and excellent academic credentials
  • Active license to practice law in New York and be a member in good standing with the New York state bar
  • 1-10 years of insurance defense litigation/trial experience
  • Experience working in a paperless environment
  • Experience directing support staff on clerical and administrative matters related to lawsuit handling
  • Strong automation/technological skills for lawsuit handling and courtroom presentation
